Also regarding getting a GSD when you start uni, please don't do it just because you think it's a cool dog. You say you can't watch your Jack Russell 24/7 because you have school (which is fair enough of course) but how much time are you going to have for a puppy (assuming you plan on getting a pup)?
Don't worry, I've already made plans.
I'll be bunking up with a friend, so if I'm not home she'll be able to watch the dog, and if we're both out for a whole day or something I might take it to a doggy day care.

Oh wow you guys are hilarious!
I don't know how many times I have to explain it, SHE IS NOT MY DOG ONLY!
I think you are only hearing what you want to hear.
You realise that not everybody is a perfect dog owner such as yourselves? Not everybody knows the exact way to treat a dog, and everything that is good/not good for them. Maybe if you stopped being so intolerable, and actually started giving advice, this would be a much more friendly place.
    Get over yourselves.

I think people need to lay off a little bit. This guy is 17, the Jack Russell is 6.5 years old meaning he was around 11 when they got this dog, why are people treating him like he should know better and making him out to be irresponsible? I, for one, would not expect my children to make sure my dog is safe and well looked after. That's my job.
He came here asking for advice because he was concerned. He has taken the advice people have given and is getting the dog spayed. Is there really any need for people to keep slamming him?

Thanks a lot Megan, it seems that in this forum tolerant people are few and far between.

Well KRISTOFFA, I would like to apologise for calling you an idiot.

I should have known better considering I copped alot of similar comments when I posted about surrendering my dogs (on another forum). I, like you was only honestly looking and asking for advice.

    Sorry again!

It's not quite as easy as that though guys.

I think I've been somewhat 'toned' down in this thread andhave offered advice, some of it at least three times.
But the OP continues to back off saying its not their responsiblity etc etc when it gets too hard .

I'm glad the little girl is booked in for desexing but the way he explains his mother and the way the family ( apart from him) dont really acknowledge the dog let alone care for it....well it makes me doubt that story very much.
And sadly we will neverknow the truth anyways, but I thought we could of maybe helped the OP in the future by learning some form of animal responsibility .
But I dont see that happening either.

All I see is "why should it be left to me" and " its not my responsibility"
