    Default Help Me Plzzz?

    Hello All,
I have a female Am Staff X whom has had one previous litter. She is pregnant again! I am after advice from people on how to 'make' the buyers keep in touch with me. When I sold the last litter I asked for the buyers phone number and also gave them mine. Out of 5 pups I am still in close contact with 4. However one buyer never kept in contact with me and even changed their phone number!
Is there any way that I can GUARANTEE that they are being looked after etc? Please do not say DON'T BREED!! as I am a responsible pet owner I keep in close contact with my vet and am very knowledgeable on the subject of pregnancy in dogs.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks

Also I would like to add (for all those that insist on posting nasty replies) that I make sure that I also educate the interested buyer of the pups as I despise people who buy puppies because they are 'so cute' yet have no idea of the responsibility involved etc. I detest people that take their pets to pounds etc. If you have the time to look for and buy a pet then you also have the time to find it an acceptable home if for whatever reason you can no longer have the pet!

I'm sorry I wont be much help.
I dont think there's anyway you can 'make' buyers stay in touch. I've never breed before so I dont know about choosing buyers but you can only ask so many questions and unfortunaly not everyone will be honest.
This is one reason I think it will be a long time before I breed.

Yep, i dont think there is any way you can make people stay in contact, if someones circumstances change, then you cant foresee that.

Firstly...you don't have a right to want to stay in touch with the new owners...if they don't feel like it! You can't "make" them do anything!

Secondly...and here we go...you tell us not to say DON'T BREED...I wonder why? I wonder if you have asked a lot of other people and they have said...DON'T BREED! What in heavens name can your cross-bred AmStaff POSSIBLY bring to the dog world and the AmStaff breed? Responsible you say...hmmmmm

Responsible breeders spend thousands of dollars to "perfect" their breeding lines...to minimise hereditary diseases...to breed sound puppies...to improve their particular breed! They spend years researching what Sire would be the best for their bitch! They spend $1000's on using a good Sire!

What other POSSIBLE motives than money could you have for breeding with your bitch?

Rescue organisations are OVERFLOWING with cross bred Staffies and AmStaffs.

Call yourself what you want...you are still a BYB

I'm sorry OP, I cannot help you here nor offer any advice re your existing questions.

You have specifically stated that nastiness is not welcomed, and I would classify my EXTREME negativism of your situation under that category.

One point I would like to make, however:

I think you need to consider how absolutely ARROGANT you are that you can post a scenario such as this on a dog forum full of loving, caring and RESPONSIBLE dog owners, yet expect and ask that no one have a problem with it!

I tend to believe there are not going to be many here who don't have a problem with it.

But still you are willing to breed! How many dogs do you think is in pounds right now because of people like you???? Are you a registered breeder??? Do you hold a breeders prefix???

You say you detest certain type of people, but still you expect us to be nice? You ask a question...you get an answer...no sugar coating here!!!
