    Default Pet Insurance.

I was thinking about Teddy B Bear and the puppy's fall, and it got me to thinking about pet insurance again. This topic come up somewhere else on a thread here regarding newfies, and it was suggested to me to check it out, just in case.

So, I'm off to investigate a bit, but in the meantime, anyone else here have insurance for their dog/s? Or any experience with it?

Yeah, just had a look at those, along with some others. Thing is, I don't need to take my animals to the vet very often. They have always been very healthy, so I was looking at the lower scale ones Cleasanta with the $500 excess. Just looking for cover in case anything goes wrong, particularly with joints etc in such a larger breed of dog.

I would certainly have pet insurance if I could not pay upfront for it or do it maybe the way others have a credit card that is only used for that purpose and yet others have a savings account.

    Thanks for link TKay.

Do what? IT? I did it and I've got 2 kids. What subject are we on???????????

Well Di, that's the thing...is pet insurance worth it in the end? If something major happened, well we'd just pay for it. That's why I've never had 'it' before. Just wondering what others think, whether it's worthwhile or not?

We have never had it either. I think when you start reading the Product Disclosure Statements...you might find a lot of things are not covered...just like wih car insurances etc.
