    Thanks heaps for that Newfie. Have to make the decision before the puppy comes home, then he/she will be of age to be covered. They all have a 2 month waiting period (or 6 for crucia ligament damage etc). Sounds great.

    We have Ziggy covered with petplan and I am so glad that I insisted getting her insured (OH didn't want to at the beginning). In the 11 months we had her, vet cost came up to about $5000 and we got everything back (except for the excess that comes with every new condition).

    This was a thread I put up a while back and got some awesome advice which really helped me out. Hyacinth had clearly done a lot of research! Whilst I haven't needed it yet, I feel a little bit more comfortable knowing my 2 are covered just in case!

    i wish i got pet insurance for boss before he ate rat bait. he costed us 3 grand to get fixed.. im might do some research and get him insuranced. we got health insurance for us, so i might as well get it for boss.. i wonder if HBF got pet insurance
