A good thing to remember about these dogs is that the temperment is actually a very strong point of standard.
A dog may shit gold nuggets whilst standing receiving a broad sash...But that means nothing to me if that dog has a bad temp.

And don't foget, the Amstaff/APBT/Stafford al diff fruit from the same tree

Oh dear, I didn't read the OP properly. Just saw 'Amstaff' and thought of a very knowledgable person who resides here...

Bum or head Flyod is simply a STUNNER. Fantastic shiny coat. Such a healthy looking speciman of the breed. May I ask what you feed him? And do you give him flaxseed oil or equiv??

aww thank you for your lovely comments about Floyd

I feed him raw diet, variety of meats, bones, vegi, fruit, yogurt, canned sardines & i also add 4 fish oil capulets per meal 2x daily

He's 9yrs old, 16"@ the withers & weighs anywhere between 16.0 /16.5 kilos, in summer he is more active, more exercise, but in winter he likes to hibernate & becomes a lounge lizard & gains weight easily so i cut down on he's food intake.

Floyd is gorgeoous, rear end is very similar to my girl Geisha, you can always tell when a shar-pei is happy, tail is up & the butt is there for all to see. Last time I was at the vets, a staffy came up to me, a little fat arsed brindle one & I think thats when i really made up my mind that that breed will be my next one, that is if I ever do get another dog after Geisha has gone. I will still try to keep her going for as long as I possibly can, she is the love of our life and it hurts me so much to see what she is like now.

Lol at Geisha's butt Peiluver. Must admit I have a thing for my pei butts too - especially Noah with the little piggy tail lol. So, you have been bitten by the staffy bug?!?! Must admit they have many similar traits. In fact when I was looking to expand my family I would have easily herded another staffy into the fold, what deterred me is their unbelievable strength. While the pei is a bigger heavier set dog, he doesn't seem to use that strength to his full caperbilities, hence how I became involved with the pei. Other than that, they are as nutty as one another, although Bella is far more sooky lala than Noah is which is lovely to experience. Noah has the "you come to me" clause, where as Bella has the "I want to sit on top of you - always" clause. And that smile.....it gets me every single time lol.

After saying that, I do hope you have the pleasure of Geisha's company for many years to come, bless her.

Are you interested in taking her to see a vet in Frankston?? (You are in Shepp, yes?) This guy is the king of pei. I don't normally use him as I have another rescue vet closer to us, but when I have a major issue, it's Ewan I run to.

Aussie Floyd it's the fish oil, amazing stuff! I was recently in Hong Kong and the sales assistant was trying to communicate to me (by sign language) that the fish oil tablets in my hand were good for heart, head & tummy. I pulled out a pic of Noah and you should have heard the girls laughing and speaking in their native tongue lol, they thought it was hysterical!

I have to say that this is a very flattering pic of Bella Butt, (I am sure it is bigger in real life)!! but the only one I can find! Could fill a book of Noah butt portraits, but Bella obviously keeps her butt out of the firing line of the camera. Also, Bella from the other end!

    !
To get her to Frankston would be very difficult because of the situation with my husband, but I hope I have her for many years to come also. Life can be a real bitch sometimes dammit.
