Right you are, Myf.

If we all agreed, I reckon we'd all be lying then. Lol.
Threads like this do not build community they just tend to build ill will.

They can, but only if we let them.
On the other hand, it does bring to everyone's attention how some posters are feeling...and that is something worth bearing in mind.
Well said DA,
My point exactly.

Thanks for your comments guys! and I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

The point of this thread was to make everyone aware about how some members are feeling. I thought it was worth sharing.

I personally do not have a problem with anyone here nor do I dislike anyone.
I do not have anyone on 'ignore' and I don't have a problem with the forum getting bigger or any of the new members.

Of course we are going to have different opinions - it's how we react to these that matters. I personally don't see the need to be rude/nasty and there has been a bit of that on here lately.

No-one's saying that we should all be 'lovey dovey' Well mannered will do.

I came into this forum cos Di was suddenly presented with a young pregnant dog that belonged to her FIL. She has done everything she could do for her, and I wanted to support her. I've been reading the threads, and am feeling a sense of distrust and antagonism among the people posting. Wow. I thought this forum was about your dogs and their wellbeing, not egos and who was right. I must have been wrong. This is the first forum I've been in, and I just want to be out of here. My teenagers give me enough angst without finding it on the net. I hope you sort out your differences. De

See now that's the scary part - we have a topic on how to get more members - then we get more members - then they leave because of the crap on here. Please don't leave dede, do I what I do and only go on the forums that bring a smile to your face.

I've said it once & I'll say it again.

Life can be a bitch, and there's enough people out there always ready and willing to put you down...let's not do it here.

Dede said it well - we are all here because of a common love, our dogs, and yes, sometimes these threads DO look like a pack of unsocialised dogs at an off-leash park!

I agree.
I have 'tried' with one member here, I gave her support and sympathy when her dogs died, and all I get back is her sarscazm. Don't stick up for members here either, because they all move on and you end up the 'bad guy' left behind.
I'm just a very regular joe blow who loves my dogs and I love to see and share pics and stories about them and everyone elses. But my spirit has been squashed over the past few weeks, hence why I have backed right away.

I'm sad to hear that, Ozemum. It's not a good outcome when there are people who feel this way.

Suicide used in such a loose form sickens me...I have been affected by REAL LIFE suicide. And Occy, did I need your permission to return? I returned because I was emailed by those who care. I tried with you, I give up.
