Yep,I've had first experience at that forum
Actualy a few members here have

Look we're adults in here , I'm guessing that before, when threforum was smaller and we allhad a general agreeance of things ,was why the forum was so nice.

Butthe forum has grown ( woot!) and has brought new members thathave differing opinions
We are just not going to agree all ofthe time ,end of story.

And how would we learn if every body went ohh touchy huggy just so they feel good,an example is the prong collar thread.

Well i must admit my first post almost made me leave i couldn't believe the way i got slammed by another member when they didn't know the full facts..

But i sucked it up and moved on.. End of the day, im not going to meet them, its not an issue..

I don't see why people have to lower themselves to name calling or attacking.. You have a difference of opinion great! state it, listen to the other side either agree with each other in the end, or agree to disagree there is no set rule which applies to raising dogs or anything for that matter...

It is intimidating when you have people so caught up in their own beliefs they're not willing to compromise or even THINK about the other side...

WellI hope you are glad you stayed

It can also extremely frustrating if you know that what you are talking of is actualy a fact.

I simply HAVE to say something to you about this comment! In another thread."Prong collars...why?" I was having a "conversation" with Laura about Pack Mentality...the use of collars etc.

I am pretty sure I was NOT nasty at any point...I posted my opinions...she posted hers and that was it. UNTIL you started blabbering about graphic designers...white spaces...copyright etc. I can't help wonder what your motives where?!? Of course you could have had a bad day and just had to vent on somebody? Or you could just have done that to be nasty.

That Laura and I agree to disagree is one thing and at least on my part there is no animosity. She is entitled to her opinion and I am entitled to mine. She is entitled to treat her dogs in any way she likes and I'll treat mine in my own way. You might not agree with me on the Pack mentality part either and that is ok too.

If those posts were not posted to try and pick a fight...what were they for? I didn't see anyone else being so anal about white spaces...what graphic designers might or might not do etc.

For your information...I have contacted the website regarding this article. The article states it was "presented as a public service" and might not be covered by Copyright. The website states it has Copyright on it, but I am curious as to if THEY have Copyright on this article or if THEY "borrowed" it from somewhere else.

I find the feel of the forum has changed over the past few weeks.
It's not very nice and supportive like it was once.. expect for in one elite group who seem to have barged in and claimed the place as their own.

Mags, you are so right IMO.

No, we don't need to all soppy or 'paly waly', or coat our words in sugar.

But IMO there is a VERY BIG difference between sugar coating your words and being respectful and polite.

Yep it's the difference between sickly sweet, sweet and down right bitter.

Well, I have been here on this forum now for a few weeks, but I certainly don't think I have put my foot in it or fought with or offended anyone...???

(Hmmm, maybe one person, but I have already made the decision not to converse with that person or post in their threads. Easy, problem solved.)

I know what you mean Mags. I think that's one of the reasons I haven't been on here much lately. I keep saying I need a break from it but then I can't help but sneak back in to see what's happening By the time I have read all the arguments I haven't had time to post anything anyway.

I do try and ignore the nastiness but sometimes I just can't help myself, especially if I feel someone is being attacked for no reason.
