    Hi Di Dee

I've got no idea. But I googled squashed puppies and you're not alone...
    Puppies being squashed

There is no easy way around this one. Some mothers are clumsy.

Thank you. I think it was more a matter of her neglect today and my complacency that she was doing her job as she has so well since whelping. She certainly is now though.

Thanks. I can't help thinking of the other two, if only I had checked sooner. I do know though I saved 4 tonight.

They all seem at this stage, back to normal.

You might want to take them to the Vet anyway and also take Pretty...just in case

Clea, thought about that too but I have decided no. There is a big parvo outbreak over there, son works there one day a week. I have decided that it is the better judgement call to keep them way away from the possibility of accidental contamination as all 5 are good.

If anything crops up I will take them to a vet in another town but that would be an unknown in the "what could well pups pick up there if just going for a wellness check" stakes. As it is too it is a 2 hour round car trip. Bit far I feel at their young age unless needed.

She is always with them now they are back inside and they will not be going back out there for quite a while. She has her cake and is eating it too. Happy being with her pups, and happy being with us inside.

Shit...no I wouldn't take them there if there is Parvo circulating!

Maybe Pretty got a bit stressed when she was put outside and away from you. I am happy all 5 are doing good You did a good job Di!

I feel too that this was the case with Pretty. I know I didn't know this would happen but I do bear some blame for it and I accept it.
