Default What!? Noooo! Lady's Not a Kelpie!!!!?

    Im freaking out!
So I posted the same photos of Lady on my other forum, yes, 'that' forum. Which I am actually beginning to like.
Anyway, it started off as, 'I think she's corssed with BC'. Ok, thats ok, so maybe she isn't purebred as we have thought the last 5 years with us. Then, people start saying, 'i think she's a purebred shorthaird red BC'.

    NOOOOOOOOOO!
Im hoping because the majority of them are from America and don't come into contact with Kelpies very often(most had never seen one till I joined up) im just hoping they don't really know much about Kelpies.
    Its not looking good though...

Heres the characteristics of a working Kelpie. As small segments, she fits all the characteristics, but as a whole, she certainly does look very BC.

I'll post her 'confo' shots in the next post, hope you all dont mind

She looks Kelpie to me...but I am far from knowing much about how to properly identify a breed. She could possibly have some border collie in her...but she's def not PB red BC.

I can't help you either but be aware that other countries do have different names for breeds and species at times than us.

A galah is called a rosy breasted 'too in the usa.

I know! Neither had I! Yep a red, shorthaired/smooth BC.
    Then again..
'The Working Kelpie comes in three coat types, smooth, short and rough, with almost every colour from black through light tan or cream. Many Kelpies have a white blaze on the chest, a few have white points. Kelpies used to have a double coat, but this has largely disappeared, possibly due to environmental factors. Agouti is not unusual, and can initially look like a double coat.'

She's very Border Collie and very Kelpie depending on which photos you choose!
Am I looking into this too much....
