Oh yes , I've seen this before.
My reaction was What The ?!

A Pug!!! How deadly is a Pug for crying out loud.

But just as a quick note ; Myf the Labs dont have a good as name as they do here. Again maybe due to bad breeding and idiots out for a quick $ have populated the States with less than desirable Labs.

Oh rightyo, thanks for clearing that up Renee. I mean, they're known as the most popular family dog over here!

    And exactly, a Pug??
Fox Terrier? If they're on the list than surely the JRT has to be too.
And the Aussie Shepherd!? My god, wheres the Kelpie then?
Jeeez, this could be a wake up call for all those agaisnt PBs...

    your breed could be next!

Listed you have the Alsatian Shepherd and German Shepherd, so take one off as they are the same breed and part of the reason most of these breeds are on the list is size and health issues. The pug would be there due to its face and bulging eyes and nearly all on the list are big breeds and BSL is there in the hope to rid the world of large breeds.

Stupid stupid idea by stupid ignorant people IMO.

It's a ridiculous one isn't it. Although every time I've seen it I've never seen mention of the criteria or information used to classify them.

I did a stupid online survey a while ago and my dogs came back as some bizarrely dangerous things...

They scored high for their size, being undesexed, living with dogs of opposite sex, and having a fence where they can be reached if a person climbed in... among other things...

I'll have to see if I can find it - always good for a giggle. Except the scary thing was that it was being marketed to Councils as a method of recording dangerous dogs in their area.
