6 weeks old. It is not my camera batteries but the camera itself playing up. Three different sets of batteries, 3 different batches, 3 different sources. I do have FIL's camera here as he wants me to print some pics so I am going to have to set up the new printer and take a few for myself before I give it back to him.

They are thriving. They eat the dry now as is so it is on offer 24/7. None are pigs. They still get feeds of formula, dry, beef, lamb and are now on half chicken wings which they adore.

Usually Pretty is inside when I feed them as I do not trust her to snaffle it all for herself as she does their toys. She takes them away to play with herself.

She was with me just now though and jumped in to give them a quick feed, her milk is decreasing well. They detached after a short while and went into the box for the wings. They have learned it is better in there to eat them than in the sand so I put them in there now.

She looked at them going away from her, then at me with a seemingly "excuse ME, I am still here" look.

Last night she was whinging at the door to come in about 2 30 when I was up as I couldn't sleep. She has never whinged at the door before and has just in the last few days learned how to knock to come in. I remembered the vet said to separate her totally from them at 6 weeks, yea right, no way but I thought it won't hurt to have her inside at night now as they are old enough and she sleeps under the house anyway.

I retrieved a sleeping mat from the kennel on the verandah she never uses, it was hers inside before anyway and I put it back in the spot it had been pre pups. She could hardly wait for me to put the covering on it and she was on it and settled in a heartbeat.

We can hear pups yipping, thumping around inside so I knew she would wake us if she needed to get out there.

It is so nice to be starting to get back our pre puppy set up. We have a way to go yet and I am enjoying that road too. Am thinking about keeping the 2 females if I am not too ill and desexing at 5 months. Only thing is I do loath the puppy stage and wish they were born at about 6 months of age lol. I wish kids were born at age 7, even my own, lol. My grandson is becoming human, he is 6 this month.

I am not a baby but a teenager stage preference "mum" eh?

    Hi Di Dee

Have you tried cleaning the battery terminals inside the camera with a cotton bud and metho? I did that to resurrect power to my remote control yesterday. They didn't look dirty but cleaning the terminals fixed the problem.

meh - don't thank me unless it works...

PS: I have had the same problem with car batteries. How embarrassing to wait an hour for Car fixy person to show up, only to have them go scrub scrub on the battery terminals and damn car starts. I now have special battery terminal scrubbing tool and spanner to get at them, in my car kit.

Di gave us a full chicken wing each and when she lifted the fly screen to photograph us she found our toy stash that we play with at night.

    Yummmmm

Note Jodi has long hair, a throw back to collie in her mother maybe?

They look gorgeous Di. Do they get aggressive at all when they all have their bones together?
