I either have a mildly affected swimmer puppy or she is just too fat and lagging behind the others. I have done as suggested by Tkay and googling and there is a rolled up newspaper under the rug as well as some of that egg carton foam in spots. I am also going to raid old toys for some small stuffed ones so they climb over them as well as each other. I do not want to put them (her especially) onto the slippery tiled floor of the bathroom (will search out a rubber backed mat too for it) until all are up and steady.

    Hmmmm.

I have had her under close observation and out with me more watching her movements. She is just so fat! AKA now as fatguts. She has the full range of movement but is just slower due to this. She made her way over to Pretty's bowl of dry food and started mouthing it. They are now 3 weeks old so I may start introducing formula. I think too I will be moving them for more room to the ensuite.

From the reading I am doing there seem to be two main ways of introducing pups to food.
One is a liquid mix of formula, puppy dry food and some raw, pureed to liquid.

The other is formula, a couple of days later add in the softened pureed dry into it , then a couple of days later add the raw mince, chicken/beef. Gradually then over time reduce the liquid till they are eventually eating just the dry, raw etc.

I will be doing it this way as I feel that gradually adding to the diet I can monitor what does or does not upset tummies. They will eventually too have egg, sardines, some yoghurt in the mix to give them the best start that I can.

This afternoon they will be offered their first taste.
Tomorrow offered 2 tastes and a little more if they want it.

    I wonder...
I freeze milk here for our use. I freeze the grains base mix that the bird's diet is based on.
I wonder, when the pups are onto their liquid puree'd mix if I can freeze some in iceblock trays, containers. Good for if I am not here for any reason for a feed and all hubby has to do is nuke to defrost. (or if I feel bloody lazy or not well)
Cant see why not, I freeze meat too. Hmmmmm.
