A crate needs to be big enough for a dog to stand up and turn around in. Leaving a dog in a crate all day is not advisable - you are better off building a dog run

    You're welcome

And bugga! I forgot the link to the XL one for you.
Hope you have a big room , I just did some rough measrements and its just about the size of my dining table

    Hey, nice looking bed, Pugger.
Choppa, thanks for the link. However I did check it out on ebay when you mentioned it.

Occy, I can put him in a separate yard during the day, just need to get some protection if it rains, there is plenty of shade. I work nights. What do you think about putting him in a large room overnight?

Dogsrule , in a room overnight is fine if you think he'll be ok : as in not destroying walls, furniture etc...

Thanks Choppa. He has spent the last 2 nights in the room and it's looking positive. He is 6 years old and never been a chewer or destroyer of things. I make a big fuss of him when I put him in and when I let him out in the am, make another fuss.
