    Default Contacting a Breeder

I was on the waiting list for about a year for my long awaited Brown Newfoundland, but due to an unforseen tragedy with the litter, it wasn't meant to be. I have since lost contact with the breeder, despite trying to contact them recently.

I know that the first point of contact to a breeder is important, so I want to do it right.

How do you suggest I go about contacting a breeder about a potential new addition to my family?

I'm not really in a position to be getting a puppy now, but I understand that there is usually a long waiting list, so I wanted to jump on it ASAP.

    Thanks!

    Hi and welcome.

I had a look in my CCCQ magazine and there doesn't seem to be a Newfy club in Qld.

Try the following link. Obviously it won't list all breeders but it should be a good starting point.

    Newfoundland Breeders, Australia

Best of luck. A good pup is well worth waiting for.

hmmm, funny same exact post on another forum under different user name. Havent you just had to get rid of your 2 current dogs as you have moved into a unit that doesnt allow dogs from my understanding? If this is the case it would be a long shot a breeder would consider you as a serious buyer untill such time that your living situation changes.

Or just hang out till said breeder had another litter, seeing as OP isn't in a hurry. I wonder how many forums this is being posted on?
