    Default Help With Dog Breed?

    Hello!

My partner & I adopted a puppy from the pound around 3 months ago - Ringo. We would love some feedback on what sort of breed you think he might be (cross obviously). We don't want to breed him or anything, it would just be nice to be able to say something other than "I don't know" when we are asked what kind of dog he is!

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Cheers
    Jane

PS Ringo had an operation on his leg on the weekend, hence the bandage.

I think perhaps he may be a ridgeback X. perhaps?? just thought I would take a stab in the dark! Cute dog though! love him! Some Ridgebacks do not have the "Ridgeback" it is not too uncommon apparently. A Beautiful looking pup anyway! Hope his leg gets better soon.

As for what breed he is i don't know sorry, but i do see a little of a "bully type" breed in him, the chest area, face & ears, stafford cross or bull arab cross ???????

Interesting! The pound actually said he was a Ridgeback cross, but when I took him to get desexed my vet seemed to think no?? Anyway looking at some Ridgeback pictures I can definitely see a resemblance!

He is only 7 months old and last Wednesday he ripped his hind leg muscle along with some cartilage away from his lower leg bone, and had to get pins and wire in his leg to put him back together. I am now his full time carer for the next few weeks

Thanks everyone for your replies !!

Thanks Aussiemyf7 - we adore him! I've had a couple of people say there looks like some lab in him (and staffordshire too, Aussie Floyd). I'm just happy he's a healthy boy. Thanks all

    Hi again Jopha

I can see Staffordshire and Ridgeback he reminds me of my Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl when she was his age so i decided to look for some pics of her as a pup. He's gorgeous! Hope he's feeling better soon.
