I may be biased, but the Kelpie is an amazing dog.
Loyal, loveing, intelligent and always willing to please.
I love a dog that can run for days and not get tired also!

Haha, I dont mind, as long as they're good comments!
Yeah thats a bad photo of both of them.
She so incredibly smart, its a long story but I got her when she was about 1.5-2 years old, and she picked everything up so quickly.
    Un-like the JRT, hes hopeless!
    What breed do you have?

I have 3 german shepherds. 11,9 and 8 and a half. JRTs are smart cookies but not really my cup of tea.

    I love GSD's!
Yeah my parents bought Roly for me when I was 10, so I didnt get much of a say, I wouldnt go out and buy another JRT but I do love him. He actually spent the last two nights at the vet, somehow he got his chompas onto some snail bait. The vet said he wouldnt make it through the night, but he did and hes back home now.

I've owned a lot of dogs over the years, purebred and cross breed, ranging in size from a LC Chihuahua to Deerhounds.

Currently I have an old Pug and a Sheltie.

My favourite breeds are Deerhounds and Pugs.

Naturally I'm going to say Newfoundlands! Although I have owned Golden Retrievers my whole life, I have been fortunate enough to share my life with my Newfie male for the last year. Yes they are a lot of work, but often not as much as people think. There seems to be a misconception that they need a farm and a lot of walks... but they're lazy at heart and if it wasn't for their owners, they would lie around sleeping all day. Very quiet and great with children, you can take them anywhere and they will just have a snooze no matter what is going on around them... although if it's at a city cafe they do take up a considerable amount of the footpath!

As far as the purebred vs. crossbred debate is concerned, I think the most important that dogs are happy and healthy and are loved by their owners. Of course people should take breed characteristics into consideration when choosing dogs, and take into account the likely health problems associated with the breed or cross breed. And most important thing is training, no matter what the breed!
