    Labs,Schnauzers,puglier,maltalier,

I dont wanna start anything here but i reckon any purbreed is outdated purebreeds just dont fit into the modern world and after seeing the abc program i hate all purebreed dogs and really like designer dogs this is just my opinion dont get all your hair in a frizzle.

I have a female 3 yr old black lab named layla but i regret getting a purebreed and wish it would fizzle out and people would start breeding for hybrid health and temprement.

Wow, great to see someone who wants to buy a dog who has been bred to make others money.... If you want a cross go to a shelter - at least that way you're saving a life not killing another two dogs (your designer puppies mother and father). BTW, that show on ABC not long ago was a) british and b) highly sensationalistic - therefore relatively inaccurate... But hey, who cares about the facts right? As long as it makes a good story....

I love working breeds - Kelpies, ACD, Border Collies first then the German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and Groenendaal (sp?) and to a mildly lesser extent the Rottweiler.

Seriously why does every second post on here have to be along these lines

Please why does everyone have to criticise others choices, right or wrong its thier choice?

I think it's our choice to comment too. If you post an opinion on an open forum, you're always going to get comments. Good and bad. That's just the way it works.

I was merely expressing my opinion, just as you are expressing yours. I would rather see a 'designer dog' from a shelter get a new home than yet more be bred.

ETA: My post is purely directed at Designer Dogs - their purpose was a marketing tool to the upper class and to those who want 'specialty crosses' that they could 'create' (for lack of a better word) their own puppy. They were bred to make people money and continue to make others money. I for one, am glad to see their popularity dwindling. I think there will always be accidental matings, therefore there will always be dogs in shelters, and with the numbers of impulse buys that wind up in the shelters I am honestly surprised that a person such as yourself is encouraging designer dogs...
