Candy would love to get our cats...but our cats are used to dogs and they are the boss...LOL Candy comes bolting from the room crying because the cat has scratched her...LOL, she just wants to play with them!!

The guinea pigs are always in their big fish tank or their yard pen...they'd die of shock if any of the dogs or cats got them. Same with our cockatiel. I don't know what Candy would do if she got any of them...she just a great big baby who loves to play.

I have two cats. Ziggy just wants to play with them (although she gets jealous when I cuddle one of them.)

One of the cats doesn't mind and usually plays along, the other is terrified of her, which leads to a bit of a cycle because Ziggy just wants to play and smell him, and Kingston just wants to run away and hide. He's slowly getting better though.

Ziggy wants to chase the wild birds around the place, but did get scared when she realised how big ibises actually are!

Roly and Lady are pretty good with the majority of animals, so instead of saying what they do tolerate, i'll say wht they dont.

Lady, sea gulls and rabbits dont mix.
Roly, wild running rabbits and guinea pigs dont mix.

Cats, poultry, horses, sheep and cows all fine.
Roly doesnt go for my bunnies, but if theres some running in the paddock he'll chase after them.

My boy sam is wonderful. He is very much the loving big brother and when we have other dogs over to visit he always the favourite and everyone wants to play with him.

Sassy is very good with Sam, she tends to get a little finnicky around me and other dogs but is generally okay. She does love Sam and last night he had to stay over at the vets so I took her round to a friends house today (whom I babysit her two dogs) because she was lonely without her buddy and gave me the sadest face when I went to leave for work this morning.

Both get a bit overexcited around cats, but thats because my three cats can be a bit skittish, but they are indoor cats and dont like big loud panting dogs.

My boy had the live and let live attitude he'd let the neighbours cat eat his food as well as the birds. I even use to try to make chase the birds off from his food but he'd just get excited and had no idea what i was on about.
He was every dogs friend, big or small he knew to play rough with big dogs and was gentle around the small ones. If other dogs got aggressive at him he would just run back to me.

im a new owner (and a new forum memeber..very first post) of a fantastic 13 week kelpie x puppy we named Bintang, so named because we arrived home from Bali a few days before and it translates to "star" in indonesia (plus a very nice beer). my housemate has two cats who are not sure about Bintang. he only wants to play and be friends. when the cats make their quick exit Bintang cries and carries on like his tail is on fire. i think my puppy may be a little sensitive!

I currently have 3 dogs & a cat. My old girl (11 YO) just likes to hang out on her own. My last GSD (Zena) had a heart attack 2 years ago & left us & Mish really hasn't bonded with anyone since then. She thought Zena was her baby from day one. Tara is a 2.5 YO regular GSD & she & the cat (Scout) just adore one another. Unfortuantely, my 16 MO White GSD (Spirit) loves to stalk & chase Scout, so Tara has to go into our bedroom behind closed doors if she wants to have a cuddle & some quiet time with Scout. I'm hoping Spirit will settle down over time & not give Scout such a hard time. Spirit & Tara are also very close & are usually cuddled up in a dog bed for most of the day. I make a point of taking them separately on errands so they don't become too attached & reliant on each other. They all have different personalities, needs & wants so life is never dull or boring in this house !!!
