Just been offered a parti poodle, standard, 6 weeks old, ready in 2 weeks. $2K great hip/elbow scores.
Cant remember who here was interested in this type?. But do a google, they are the only breeders in Aus currently, so you'll find the advert easily.

Ive declined, as really close to paying a deposit on my mal for the new year!

    parti poodle
Ooh more controversy. They don't meet the current ANKC (and other kennel club) breed standard so can't be entered in dog conformation shows or maybe they can but will be disqualified for not meeting one of the most obvious breed standards ie a solid colour not mixed colour.

But there always were multi-coloured poodles and they do look very pretty. I don't know why the mix colours were excluded from the standard. And I hope it's not related to the problems with Merles.

I guess people are always attracted to the unusual and pretty colours. I dont care if my Border collies are plain black and white with ears that are up or down as long as they are structurally sound, healthy and work well. I have learnt to be completely unmotivated by colour when selecting a potential puppy.

Ohh don't tell me things like that! I am so ready for another dog... but at the same time I'm so not ready D:

Googled it, found the ad... Such gorgeous pups!! One thing that turns me off with them though is that they come desexed. When I finally choose a Standard Poodle breeder to go with, It will be someone who will let me wait until 18 months or older to desex.... which is becoming uncommon with poodle breeders...

I'm sure there are countries where Parti poodles can be shown... not sure which country it is though. I don't know the reason Parti's aren't included in the standard, but I do know that it is not because of health issues. Parti's have no more health issues than solid poodles, in fact two solid coloured parents can produce a parti coloured pup.

Unfortunately the unique colours of Parti and Phantom poodles seem to be an attraction to BYBs and puppy farmers.
