    Default Smelly Feet

Ok, Ziggy has pretty smelly feet... Yesterday evening she had a bath and she smells actually really nice but when you get closer to her feet.... It is really bad particularly because she just had her bath (usually her feet weren't that smelly after bathing her, at least not that quick). So I guess my question is, do you think it's normal that her feet smell so quickly so bad? And do your pooches feet smell like old cheese too?

    Hey Hippo
Misi has stinky feet too. Hers start to smell pretty quickly after a bath but it's not a cheesy smell.

Does Zig chew at her feet alot? Lick at them, generaly bother at them ?
Is there any redness between the pads ?

A fungal infection can cause smelly feet . Any irritation that is causing her to lick/chew at her pads will cause a smelly reaction.

No she is not bothered by them. No licking or chewing. And I just double checked whether there is any redness... Nothing.... But I will keep an eye on them...

The feet are the only place on a dog that actually have sweat galnds I believe, which is why their feet often smell.

My advice is pretty much the same as Chops. Yeast skin and fungal infections can cause odour and that would be the first thing I would check.

Apart from that, it may be just that he has normal, but smelly, feet.

I've never had a dog with smelly feet before, apart from when they had a wound or infection. Maybe you should get some Puppy Feet Deoderiser :P
