Default I saved a cat from death.

We stockpiled large gas bottles at work. Hundreds of the damn things.

Double stacked on pallets and all full so we are dealing with some serious weight.

Anyway .....much to my disgust ..... we now have our own crew of feral kittens who raid the bins every night and live amongst the bottles and surrounding houses and factories. They are super suss on anyone who goes near them. We only catch a glimpse of them here and there.

One afternoon I could here a constant meowing coming from the stockpile. Work had to get done so I ended up totally forgetting about it until I heard it again the next morning.

Now most here know I hate cats. That's just the way it is since one shat on me when I was a little kid. But the meowing was obviously coming from a distressed kitty ...................stuck right in the middle of this massive stockpile. I couldn't ignore it no matter how much I wanted to. I guess i'm getting soft.

So a workmate and myself spent bloody hours tearing down all these bottles to find this stupid rat chaser that got to big for his boots and used up 8 lives when it slipped down between 2 bottles.

So if you saved a dog from this sort of fate it would lick you to death and devote its new lease of life to its new found friend. But this furball just bolted !! No thanks ...no rubbing up my leg.....no nothing !

So there we go . I saved a cat from starving to death. Never thought i'd say that LOL. Bloody cat owes me big time.

you gotta get cat rescue in to trap and remove - or you will have a giant feral colony of starving cats... no fun at all.

Yeah , I kinda wondered when or if the cycle would stop. Not my gunfight really but I don't want a heap of homeless feral cats at work.

I'll mention it to the boss. Only inducted people allowed in on site so if they don't agree then there's nothing I can do .

Except ......offer the service of Bronx for a night or 2.

Seems like most of the litter have moved on from our property though. We started of with about 7 or 8 (hard to count when the are so quick and timid) .....I think we have 2 regulars hanging around now.

'Sean' you don't need other people on site - just hire a trap from your council and set it up yourself.

This story is old - but the information would still be valid:

It will continue to be a never ending problem - because they just continue to breed.
