    Default good quality dog tags

Hi, just a quick question about dog tags - i have always got my tags from our local petbard or city farmers.

these are typically cheep aluminium tags that just don't seem to last.

Bruno has already bent his after which it fell off at some point thanks to a weak split ring.

Serena's tag broke at the eyelet.

they do play a bit rough together at times but nothing I would think warranted the damage and loss of these dog tags.

Can anyone recommend a good solid, well made dog tag that will last. We spend a fair bit of time at the beach so maybe stainless steel would be a good option.

    cheers

    Adrian

    Hey there Adrian.

I have had that same problem but the place that I have found that has the best dog tags is Pawz they are amazing and I haven't had a problem with any of them breaking.

PawZ.com.au!, Pet tags and Bling, Australia

I know at some mister minute places you can find some but you would just have to look around or go onto the pawz website they have a great range =]

    Hope that Helped =]

I have a friend who has one of these - the sort you can hook over the collar. Doesn't come off.

Lasts years and years - unlike the things you get engraved at the key cutting shop...

    Boomerang Tags

Despite the name - they are American.

I gave up and buy the collar with her name and our phone number embroidered into the collar. Even with daily sea swims it has lasted the distance.
It is light and very durable. I got fed up after I did 3 tags in 3 months due to rust and losses.

I used to live by the sea so in the end I got plastic discs engraved. I think I saw them at the vets. They were not expensive, quite thick and durable, and they lasted in all the salt water. They were still going stong when I left for the farm and now I just put my sheeps eartags on their collars as it has my name and brand on them.

Yeah I have that issue too. I was hoping stainless steel might stand up to that punishment better.
