Unhappy Bella's Missing (found 7th Dec)

So I got home from my work Xmas party yesterday to only find one super happy excitable dog waiting for me. Poor Bella has disappeared. I can't find any escape routes so I am guessing she has been taken, her tick collar was left on the ground near our side gate. We've checked pounds, posted pictures on facebook and I am waiting to see my neighbours out and about and I will go have a chat to them too. Going to do up some fliers and letterbox drop them as well once the rain goes away.

She is chipped so hopefully that helps, no tags though as she broke the new one I had just gotten her and I hadn't ordered another yet. I hope where ever she is she is being looked after Harley is pretty sad and hasn't eaten yet and isn't interested in bones either, suppose because he doesn't have a bratty little sister waiting to steal them.

    PS

See if you can get her microchip details to add "missing" or "stolen" to her name. Your vet should be able to assist. And make sure the phone number is current.

Oh my goodness, I hope you find her!!

I've heard some pretty scary stories of dogs being stolen (or at least an attempted theft of the dogs) around the smaller suburbs in Melbourne.... Scary stuff!

Thanks everyone! Apparently our neighbours seen a white dog running down the road in the storm yesterday, they didn't know it was ours so didn't think to catch her. Hopefully someone has her as it is a one way street.

Go and actually check your local pound - don't take their word for it they don't have her.

They don't check for microchips - not always, and they don't often recognise the descriptions that you give of the dog. Eg the (nothing like a) wolf hound story that dogman posted.

And you may need to do it more than once. And it might help to ring some of the local vets that might have been open when she went missing - because sometimes people take the lost dog to the vet (so they can look up the microchip)...

I think I'd be freaking out right now. I sure hope you find her.

    We have her back!!

She was handed into a vet yesterday, who ever had her took her in on Friday night and looked after her before dropping her off. She is a bit sore and slept all afternoon yesterday but otherwise okay. I've fixed her tag so hopefully she doesn't break it again.

Who would have thought after 4.5 she would finally decide to do the dash in a storm, apparently it was a big clap of thunder.

I did visit the pound yesterday morning Hyacinth, so many sad looking dogs in there. It broke my heart
