Phew - so glad you have her back.

More storms are forecast for now - I think.

Make sure she's locked inside and can't break out through the windows. Phew.

And I think at next opportunity - take the tribe out with both you and hubby - to introduce them to all the neighbours (again).

So glad that gold coast fwit had nothing to do with her going missing.

BTW my brother's staffy x something bitsa, in thunderstorms, would jump a 2m standard corrugated iron fence from the side with no rails. He tried tying her up so she couldn't get out and she nearly strangled herself on the fence... ie she still tried to jump it.

So there's a good chance Bella jumped the fence.

I'm glad to hear Bella's home...it hasn't happened to me yet but if it did I wouldn't ring the useless staff at Blacktown pound...I'd go and look myself.

Yeah I was expecting a storm this arvo so I tethered her. It didn't happen though thank god. Not sure how we are going to handle it in the future as most storms seem to start mid arvo and if I am at work I can't leave early to come home :/

We do need new fences but we've been putting it off as fencing acreage is expensive! Probably going to have to get onto it though. She is starting to act like herself again now, Harley is very happy to have his little sister back She has had lots of cuddles and treats today too! lol

I am glad she is home......if you cannot afford to fence acreage, maybe making a good covered keenle room and run might be more feasable. We have that. it was more for our working kkelpies as they were such good jumpers. But it still comes in handy when our bitches are in season or we have visiting dogs.

Yeah we have a run set up already, I just need to get the hubby to put a roof onto it so that she is right to go back in

Thanks for editing the title too, lol i haven't ever been able to work out how to do it!

    editing the title

doesn't always work but mostly does

You select edit for your post (or someone else's if you're a mod)

And then you select "go advanced" - bottom right next to the post button

And then you can edit the title - it appears at the top of the main edit box. Like a subject in email composing windows.

Lid on dog run... good idea. Has it got a kennel in there with an insulated roof and walls (might help reduce the sound). Maybe a rubber floor (prevent lightning current flow)

No none of that lol there is a kennel and that is about it. Missy escaped again in this afternoons storms, lucky she had her name tag on so I got a call straight away. She went straight back to the same house.

Anyway I took Harley for a fake walk (poor Harley) which Bella can't stand as she doesn't want to be left behind and she showed me exactly how she got out. It honestly looks like it should be physically impossible for her to. She will be going in the kennel tomorrow until I can patch the fence up a bit.

If there was a dog Olympics for escaping, she would get gold for sure.
