    Default Dog harness

    Hi Everyone,

Just wanting your thoughts and knowledge on dog harnesses

My Lab currently has a nice pink personalised harness, however she has quite a fat flabby neck and I think the harness digs into her neck a little bit.

in your opinion, what harness should I be going for?

    Thanks in advance

I think the harness digs into her neck a little bit.
Is it a front attach one (clips on the chest) or a back attach (between the shoulder blades)?

Does she pull when you use the harness?

I think all harnesses will dig in if the dog pulls. So that comes back to training.

Got a photo that shows what you mean?

Note the harnesses tend to be tight around the belly when the dog sits but loosen up when they stand - so the fit needs to be for a comfortable fit when the dog is sitting - but not so loose they can get out of it...

I have only ever used harnesses on my bitches, the dogs have all been on wide collars if that helps, just my personal preference.

    Hi Guys,
sorry for late reply, haven't logged on in a while. Thanks for all your answers we have come to the conclusion Pepper's harness is absolutely fine, she just hates being controlled. loves her walks, just not the part of being controlled

    Hi peppersmummy

You have to start training the loose lead walk...
