    Default This makes me sick.

Saw this video on facebook this morning, so i googled it and found this article about it which also has the video on the page.

    http://rt.com/usa/california-man-dog-killed-police-492/

Yes the owner was being an idiot, but did the dog really have to die? And if the cop thought it was necessary to kill the dog, SURELY he could have done it properly rather than letting the dog suffer on the street like that. It just makes me feel sick, to think that someone could put a dog through that. I'm pretty sure cops are taught how to shoot animals without them suffering...

I saw this , absolutely horrible and owning 2 rotties this really made me cry . But the owner was being an idiot, he also didn't restrain the dog in the car so perhaps the dog would not have jumped out to protect his owner, but yes the police could have said "mate get your dog in the car " rather than shoot him. Poor dog and to suffer like that absolutely horrible.

Oh man ...dont get me started !!

I saw this a while back and was shocked. But unfortunately since then i've watched even worse ones. Piss weak heros with guns ...

Google 'LiveLeaks' or facebook em' ...its like a uncensored You tube and you'll be amazed how many 'Cops shoot dog' videos there are out there.

No wonder some people flip out on the cops. If they shot my dog ...vengence would be served on them.

The owner is in the wrong no doubt about it but they didnt have to shoot the dog. Tazer ? Pepper spray ? if needed then yes. But shoot it ? NO !!

I too don't blame you margoo. Seeing animals suffer is not cool. If they HAD to shoot the poor thing one shot should have been all . But preferred not at all. And thank you! They are very cheeky, but sweet!

I thought the ACT police that capsicum sprayed a chained up dog and then teased it were bad - I hope the RSPCA gets them.

I can't click on this link either - glad you put enough text in for us sensitive souls who don't need to see that kind of stuff.

Another video I did watch was a police dog training video (how not to do it) of the guy using a lot of punishment on the dog when the dog had clearly not been taught what it was supposed to do... the dog got beaten up.

    Won't watch it either.

But the capsicum spray incident... There's no excuse for that cop's cruel act, but I'm pretty sure that it's illegal in the ACT to tether your dog unless it's on a runner lead and rightly so. So I wasn't too impressed with the owner being portrayed as a loving, caring dog parent either.

Can't watch it either. Way too much cruelty in this sad, sick world
