    Have you got any context?

It looks a little bit like a Shetland sheep dog puppy but could be lots of other things.

Is it your dog, where did you get it, how old is it?

Or did you just see a cute picture on the net and you like the look?

Shetland sheep dog puppy... they come in different colour combinations including the puppy colour in your pic

PS when they're done growing - they're about knee high and look like Small Lassie dogs (rough collie).

Agree with Hyacinth, it looks like a sheltie cross.

Yep could be but hard to be sure. Needs some context around it. I think that really you should be thinking about what you want in a breed and finding one that suits your lifestyle. Wanting a dog based purely on what it looks like has probably landed many a dog up in rescue when the owners realised that the breed characteristics didnt suit their lifestyle.

I'm sure i've seen this photo somewhere on the internet before.. looks familiar.

When i search google for this specific image, I found myself looking at information about the 'German Australian Shepherd' Pretty sure i found the original post on the internet and the owner says its a German/Australian shepherd, and was received as a christmas present...

It may well be what they're calling a 'German Australian Shepherd' but i'm doubtful. And i most definitely hope that this is not the next designer dog breed.

Looking at the pup i would have also said its some kind of Sheltie X. But as mentioned above, choosing a dog solely on the way it looks is a bad idea, you could end up with a dog that is totally wrong for your lifestyle.

Aussies and GSD's are both extremely active breeds that need lots of mental and physical stimulation. Not to mention that they both need a job.

Someone had a new puppy at the dog park the other day, I asked what breed it was and they said "Mastador" like it was the most wonderful thing ever and they were so proud... Mastiff cross Lab. How incredibly stupid!

Nearly as bad as when someone proudly tells you that they have a pure breed, pedigree Labradoodle

we need the op to come back and give us a bit more info. He could just be having an argument with a mate at the pub. (here's hoping)

I will see if I can image search the thing to see if it's on the net somewhere. You can do that now - google will do it and there's two other websites that will take a photo or piece of one and search the web for matching ones. It's a good way to find whose been stealing your stuff if you want.

    Ok I found it

    German Australian Shepherd Puppy

when I clicked on the link for "Michelle Harris" - it kind of not linked to "West Virginia Pet Rescue"

And on there - it's titled a German Australian Shepherd - whatever that is. And Australian Shepherd dog in Germany?

The photo OP has put - is from shockmansion.com <- note much not safe for work and features a lot of stuff that used to be up on the walls in all male work places. They do have an "amazing animal section" but in that category - I'd say it's not the go to website. They've got the shark poop my pants video that my brother shared on facebook. Some aussie bloke with a go pro swimming off Sydney (Manly?) comes way closer to a big shark... and films it. And the shark doesn't eat him. I like the underwater swearing tho.

This is the direct youtube version (scuse the ad) - it may or may not be faked - but it does make you jump.
