Default What is your list of dream dog breeds?

There has probably already been a thread about this somewhere on here, but i couldn't find it, so i thought i'd make one. Sorry if there is already one made, haha (I did start a thread a while ago about foreign dogs people wanted to own, but this is different)

So what breeds of dogs would you love to own one day? Whether its likely to happen or not, we can all dream right?

So for me my list goes as follows:

    - Red and Tan Australian Kelpie (I hate to specify colour, but i already own a Kelpie, and i have always wanted a red and tan one) This will hopefully be my next dog.
    - Black Tri Australian Shepherd (again, with the colours, but i already own an Aussie) Definitely likely to happen one day.
    - German Shepherd - Possible, but really depends on my lifestyle at the time, I'd like to meet more of them before i made a decision like that.
    - Hungarian Mudi - Virtually impossible, unless someone imports some to Australia.
    - Standard Poodle - Definitely likely one day, I'd like to have my own dog that i can style, and I love Poodles personalities, they're great dogs!
    - Pembroke Welsh Corgi - This would probably be my go-to breed if i couldn't handle a larger breed one day.
    - Chinese Crested Dog - Unlikely with my active, outdoorsy lifestyle until i'm older, but i really love this breed.
    - English Springer Spaniel - Quite likely one day, I love Springer Spaniels, awesome dogs! I grew up with a Springer X BC.
    - Greyhound - This would probably be the breed i'd go for when i'm getting old and can't really be as active as i am now. I wouldn't want a small dog because i'm terribly clumsy and would trip over it, haha!

Gosh my list is a bit long Oh well, i'm young... i'm allowed to have a long list

So go on, share what your list of breeds is

(Or I guess you could just ignore this thread if there has already been one like this in the past, haha )

I am going to be really boring and say that I have found my dream breed of dog already - and am now up to my 5th one !.
Hopefully there will be a few more in my life before I fall off my perch !

I love all breeds of pups - prefer the short haired ones to the wooly ones !

When I was very much younger - did fall in love with this breed from my dog books:

But I was probably very lucky I couldn't get one at that stage - because of this:

Well i already own my two main dream breeds, and hope to always have one of each if my life allows for that But i'd still love to experience owning some other breeds too I've always wanted to own a German shepherd, but considering what i want in a dog, out of a GSD, Springer spaniel or a Poodle, then the Poodle would probably suit me best. Active, reasonably agile, smart, and it has the added bonus that i could practice my grooming work on it My next breed will definitely be a Kelpie though, I'd do agility with it Poodle can come after that... if i don't find myself with another Aussie before then XD oh gosh... I need to work on my own dog before i start planning to get more

I haven't met many German Shorthaired Pointers. I'll admit I'm not a massive fan of them, but they are a good looking dog, thats for sure! And from the ones i've met, they've been really lovely dogs, just not for me

Goodness gracious, I don't know how i'd cope with an escape artist like that!! Koda seriously has no want to escape fro yards... he could climb the gates or dig under the fence to get out, but he just never wanted to

Don't knock back a standard poodle ! If it wasn't for the wooly coat - they are a dream pup ! Can absolutely do everything - plus look good also !

They were also used as hunting dogs - way back and still are:

But you wouldn't believe that - looking at some of these photos !

They are great dogs aren't they The more i read up on them, the more i can see myself with one. And they're not that bad at agility either, so I could do that too with a Poodle One of my close friends has one, and she's an absolute delight to be around, really sweet and friendly, but active and smart as well.

I'm not a fan of the big fancy show clips, I know the practicality of their history, but I still think they look silly
I like a nice pet clip, sort of like this one.

However i can imagine if I owned a poodle i'd end up testing out a few different clips, some that might look a bit odd

Theres lotsa breeds i want to own ....and one day will i guess. Realistically my next one will either be a Rotweiller or another Bullmastiff.

But if i lived somewhere a bit cooler i would very, very seriously consider one of these brutes....

But then i'd also have to own a big fluffy cat that i could slide around the tiles to clean up the St B's slobber trail.

    Very!

My first real interaction with a Staffy type was a mates APBT and that persuaded me to go Stafford over BC when buying Jack. After owning Jack, i'll never go another breed .... I'm not even sure there are other breeds?????

Sorry I have to laugh again ! No other breeds ..... pfftttt !

My vet also doesn't agree - he keeps on telling me that there are absolutely hundreds of breeds out there. Why ? Why another GSP ?
