Wow - what an icky powerful ad.

I do that for my dog when she has nightmares - well wake her up - not the licking bit. And she does that for me (swats me on the head). I can imagine it would be handy for a PTSD sufferer.

But first you'd have to train him not to take his anger and frustration out on the dog ever. Recently saw a Dr Phil show where an Iraq war vet admitting to beating the crap out of a dog because it didn't do what he told it, and then later when it bit him (can't think why). And he thought that was how you showed the dog who was boss. He hit it so hard that he broke its teeth. I would not want a licky dog to go to his home until he learned other ways to deal with his anger.

just another part of life that not everyone understand the right way in life, when conditioned to a machine of war and loosing touch with ones heart.
dogs aren't the only creatures that are slave to condition responses.
