    Default Mini St Bernard

Now, I love mutts. I have two myself. But I just saw this post on Facebook and am thinking... W - T - F???

Why not breed an elephant with a mouse?

"We know of 3 puppy factories that are currently experimenting with crossing Cavaliers with Saint Bernards so they can start marketing the "Mini St Bernard" apparently will be promoted as "low drool" !

Oh wow, that is really sad. I just can't even imagine the problems that may come about with a mix like that

I'm taking it with a grain of salt at the moment. Surely not all of them will come out as "Mini". In fact, it would be very hard to get the smaller size with just one cross. Correct me if I'm wrong

I'm assuming the female will have to be the female. That also means that they will have to artificially inseminate, meaning they will have to "milk" the male and then "sort out" the female. Basically going against nature. A cavalier would never reach without a step-ladder and perfect balance...

but isn't a "mini St Bernard" pretty much what you get with a Bernese mountain dog? And if you want to go slightly smaller again then maybe one of the tri colour spaniels?
