    Default Brag - big time

Phom our lovely rottie x bordeaux lady, woke me both me and hubby last night by giving the rottie big bark < something is wrong when you hear this particular big bark. Then whilst we have the usual couple grumbling discussion, as to who will investigate, she barged into our room and barked AT us. Odd.
    We both went to investigate.
Lovely orange light in my lounge, and kinetic light on walls, there's a fire, and its 20 meters from my house! We called the fire brigade, who came and put it out. Only on the arrival of trucks onto the property, did the other 2 sound an alarm. Almost as trucks arrived, the other side of the lake went up.

I love that rottie trait, that when they bark that warning bark < then there IS something to worry about. Yet another incidence, where i have trusted my dog and acted in blind faith fruitfully.

Not a single smoke detector went off in my home that is battery, as opposed to love operated.

Nup - headline should read - Female dog woke and alerted female owner to fire danger (because all the other males in the house were still asleep !)

I bet if it got within 20 meters of the shed it would have been a different story... especially if theres a beer and dog bone fridge in the shed !!!

Whilst the 2 male dogs left my property yesterday, she did not. I immediately blamed Brian. He'd of led bernie astray, who has NEVER left the property to date.
Till we arrived at CBD lost dogs home, to be told they were collected from X address, our old house. Brian doesnt know this route, having never walked it before.
Bernie does know this route, having walked it plenty. Also my son still lives at that old address, he'd gone visiting.

What this pointed out to me was a) its not always brians fault, but i wont let stop me lol
    b) bernie CAN leave the property
    c) Brian has bonded with Bernie to the extent he'd follow him, rather than his nose when out without a human at least.

When we arrived in city to collect them, and pay the $55 per head fee. On their cages, which were opposite each other so they could see each other. Was a sign that said, "Shows no sign of aggression to people or other dogs".
Twas on the way home, i wondered. As ive been lazy, and not updated Bernie's micro chip, he is still registered as living at other house. The one he was found at. He was at the front door. On the property, not on nature strip, but in the front garden. And as they tried to take him, he kept returning to that front door, clearly not wanting to leave it.
So should i have to pay a fine. Im very grateful that the dogs were safe, watered/fed cared for, dont get me wrong, but why would they seize a dog, on its own property, and take it to lost dogs home?

At least Pohm was loyal. again.
