    Default Brian gets castrated tomorrow

Brian has reached the ripe old age, of 18 months. Its time to get em off.
As testes go, these are not nice. He's a ginger, so they are very very red. Dayglo red perhaps?
The hair on his scrotum is actually curly too! A dog with pubes? if there was going to be a dog with pubes, it'd be Brian.

He's taken to raping blankets, cushions, and forgot himself and acted on his urges towards: all humans basically are fair game for his advances, my bitch nipped it in the bud first attempt on her. It was brief, it was fast, and it hurt him. He cried, wet himself, and never tried it on with her again. Dont you just wish you could be that well judged/timed/delivered with punishment? Shame we humans arent fast enough.

He was actually coming on with training. Well that's gone now. His manners with other female dogs that we meet are not good. So he now has to keep sitting, in order to be around female dogs. Or we leave. I just cant hold him otherwise.
He's roughly 4 times my strength i reckon. Horny dogs, dont have recalls ive found.

So yeah, 8am, check in at vets. 6pm collection of a groggy Brian.
Im looking forward to checking his weight out. And keeping my fingers crossed that its not gone down/up too much. Not sure how much they grow between a yr and 18months, but he's got muscles now, and a chest is forming.

    Poor bugger

One thing i've discovered is that Matiffs wearing cones of shame just fit into regular car LOL. Mojos cone was jammed in against the roof.

Hope his left over bits shrink away like Bronxy's did. Dont expect the humping to stop straight away.....that stuff is well embedded in our brains....the brains downstairs and the brains upstairs. Its what we do best.

Are you getting a blood test done first ?...my vet always tests first to make sure the big chested dogs will handle the anesthetic.

    Good luck

"if there was going to be a dog with pubes, it'd be Brian."

That really made me laugh hard!

Hope all goes well and that it'll make life easier for both of you.

I got a call at 1130am, he was around from anaesthetic, and happy. Would i like to pick him up at 12?
I was at work. Unable to get there sooner than the 5pm discharge appointment id made, so they said they would keep him, not to worry.
At 5pm, i walk in the vets, there he is, following a woman around out the back. Nosing in everything, wagging his tail, following a nurse. He's on a lead, but its nice n loose i notice. I was SO PROUD

She said he has a lovely nature. which was true, she was seeing it all. He can be very endearing indeed.
happy go lucky Brian. Sound as a pound.

Got him home, the dogs mobbed him for 10mins, checking out the freaky smells on him. the lack of nuts has been noticed.
He had a good drink. Then just got on with his day pretty much. He's not tired, showing any sign that he's had bucket loads of opiates today.

No cone of shame. Im glad. As they bloody hurt on the back of your legs!
no external stitches, internal ones dissolve. No swimming for a week. No rough play for 3 days. Piece of cake!

I just got him in my car. As the ute is open air, and a decent jump too.
I cant see sod all out the back when he's in the car though, slightly dodgy.

Bernie keeps turfing him out of the crate, and taking it over, so Brian's snuggled up next to the sofa, in the warm. Its 8 degrees tonight up here. Heatings on, bones being chomped by all 3 on their beds. Beef meaty bones tonight, special treat
And ive been told tonight, im to be a grandmother again. My son's expecting with his wife. Life's good sometimes.

Congrats on the new baby! Brian really does sound amazing. Funny like some dogs are such toughies and others such softies. Just like humans... We've got one each. I don't like thinking back when our softie was desexed. It was very traumatic. Maybe for us more than for him...
