Great to hear he is feeling happy! And also that the insurance is working for you. Here's hoping for even better news in a few weeks time.

More good news.. we **THINK** his main major lump is abit smaller. Not by much and it may only be wishful thinking but it seems abit smaller?
Also his lesions are much less weepy. So much so that we are no longer putting bandages on them. Still abit but we wipe it with antiseptics that we got from hospital yeay yeay yeay!!!
Being very cautious as this changes by the hour but we can definitely see a positive progress.
In fact it is scary how quickly it changes, his skin could be red/purple at one time and a few hours later its smooth and milky again.
So far it has cost us upwards of $7000 ($1500 for us, rest is covered by insurance). For a dog who was on death row and was homeless this is an impressive amount. He better start spinning gold lol

Riley - We have no idea how he got it, vet says it might be a cat's scratch or an insect bite but my dog has only sniffed a cat once and the cat was paralysed with fear and so was Hooch!
He is also a house dog, unless he goes out for a wee he prefers our beds and the comfort of the heater.
He did have a tick on him once when we took him bushwalking, but it was behind his tail and far from the area (vet says the broken skin had to be at the initial site which was on the side of his body). I wish I knew!!

Farrview - I remember when I was pregnant I was coming up with all kinds of way to have an easier birth, my OB was rolling his eyes at me... my labour ended up being everything I didnt want it to be! all these months of herbal yuckiness and exercises were a total waste. Such is my luck

That's a tidy sum of dosh for this dog, spinning gold should be the least he learns.

Oh i hope this is the turn around for your dog. this has been a harrowing experience to read, i dread to think what the last couple of months have been like for you and yours. this is one very lucky dog!

Hooch is getting better each day.. lumps are definitely smaller eventhough the original scar is still not all that great. But I'll take any improvement I am given. He has been so playful and happy!! Here is a picture of him playing in my bed
