Yes! I saw it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was balling my eyes out. I had heard it was really sad but thought it was because he was hit by a car or something. It's so close to home - you know it's going to happen sometime.

I almost lost it again totally when she put the necklace in the grave - oops sorry giving things away here

I haven't seen the movie but I have read the book. The book was great.

A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

I am the same, and balled like a baby! What is it about animals in movies? I can't handle that stuff, but if it was a human, it wouldn't nearly be so 'traumatic' ???
Anyway, I agree, great movie! That movie is one of the reasons we've decided on a golden! Such a lovely dog (even if he was very naughty!)

The movie is great, however I'm so glad I read the book first!! I cried my eyes out reading the book, and watching the movie, however the book wins imho

Well..I didn't end up watching the movie. As much as I love animal movies...I just can't stand how heartwrenching they are. I get too emotional

I haven't seen the movie but I read the book. It was so funny at the beginning... and at the end I was crying badly... Wouldn't have been a problem but I read the book on a flight from Europe back to Oz...
