Default Future Obedience Champion (NOT) coming up! Brian LMAO

Brian has been accepted to attend a obedience course. We have been refused entry to 2 local clubs believe it or not. One that i know is a good club, is for Rotties, and they wont have us, as over subscribed with members right now, and have to limit new members currently. The other club because he is too big and might frighten the pups. Whatever! Shame, as they have a wonderful agility trainer at that club.

But this one, is welcoming. (foolish people lol)
Now its been about er, 30yrs since ive done obedience classes. (I dont count Victorian GSD Club 4 attendances before we voted with feet)
But stuff sure has changed. First attendance is handlers only without dog. Im interested in what this is about? Its to go over club rules, training methods with me n Brian. Sounds interesting, if a little odd? and frustrating, as id love to get cracking at it closes Nov during summer heat, and wont train above 25 degree days, which maybe few. The club trains at 2pm on Saturday. < stupid time of day to train dogs in Australia or what?
But that's the only time they have the oval. So hey ho.

Im excited to have a qualified person, showing me best way to handle Brian.
He's tricky for me as very weak nerves. And my GSD/Rottie/BC training experience over the years, has had little effect with this dog! lol
he's quite frankly, a wanker on 4 legs. He's way to big for his britches. Stubborn, and outwits me fast! collapses even faster. I have to be softer.
And whilst im advised, that bordeaux's dance to a different drummer. I wont accept that. (yet)
As i am as stubborn as Brian, at least. If not more. And have secret weapon, speed. That he's a sucker for.

My thoughts are: get enough obedience training hours under my belt, and eventually, they will allow us to do agility. The only club style training ive ever thoroughly enjoyed. And know Brian will gain so much from.
And all those other stupid pups around, to learn some social skills will be great for Brian, as he believes that everyone loves him, all dogs want to play and be his friend. Misguided fool that he is.

    Sat 12th is starting time.
I will be bringing to the party: 1 numpty of a bordeaux, attached to a older lady, who is used to dogs doing as they are told fast, and has forgotten that pups don't 'know', and pups with a shall we say, lower IQ/drive/nerves, are not easy to train, but harder. so needs a refresher course! Cant wait now.
Imagine a Brian that doesnt pull me into lakes! such luxury!

My bordeaux did dogsports and wiped the floor with most of the 'working' breed dogs there. They are very smart dogs you just need to give them time and understand they're a mastiff :P speed comes with age .... somewhat lol

Yeah, that's great n all Nekhbet, but speed goes with age for humans! My biological clock is ticking for agility i reckon < ha ha
At least at this age, if ever i do compete, I wont be menstruating and confusing the heck outta my dog lol
    Nekhbet, you sound so hopeful.
lets see shall we, im as i say, stumped with this kinda dog.
All i have is speed right now. Heeling is FUN for brian, if you do it fast for eg.
like i say, tick tock brian!
