Hooch is still not doing too good
Initial results came back as definitely not cancer. Also no staining from ?grahm? bacteria? (that was a very initial result).
So it is down to which kind of panniculitis it is. Sterille (which has no known cause and can be auto immune) or infectious which means its a bad micro bacteria infection which is resistant to antibiotics.
Also results showed he has inflammation of his blood vessels.
He is on 2 different antibiotics which so far are not helping at all, while we wait for the proper results to come back.
Apparently growing micro bacteria takes long and we will not know until at least Thursday what is causing this. They also sent samples of his biopsies to Sydney for DNA testing.
His lump/mass is growing big every day, it is so big now that he is having a harder time walking and is always in pain even with pain killers.
We have been in contact with the hospital daily, but they cant do anything more until we have diagnosis. This is SO frustrating!!!
I have done some reading and decided to give him some vitamin E pills as he was on fishoil for awhile so maybe somehow it is all connected to a vitamin E deficiency eventhough the vet at the hospital didnt think so. It wont hurt I figure.

Anyone knows anything about panniculitis or knows a dog that had it? I forgot to ask the vet if it has chances to come back later in life..

been in hospital since 6am today as he cried all night. no results.. they are apparently checking for mycobacteria and the DNA results are not back yet.
he is having narcosis - his skin went black and now has gaping holes in his groin. he is on pain killers which are not doing much so hospital changed it. he is crying and crying and i am feeling helpless because i cant do more than we are. he is in murdoch vet hospital, cant get better than that here in perth.
please keep us in your prayers
