    Thanks Lea.

I know what you mean. It breaks my heart to see them in the state they are. It seems the few organisations over there are really getting through to the locals now...they have a long, long way to go but at least someones doing somthing. This time i'll make up for not taking anything the other 2 times.
I just love the place...nowhere on earth have i ever felt so welcome, so relaxed and so bloody rich !! On our last trip we had a spare few hours and realised we still had more money than we thought so we went shopping like madmen and hardly batered at all !!! I still have shirts from my first ever Bali trip which is nearly 20 years ago now.....although some didnt last 20 days LOL.
Kuta madness, Nasi Goreng , banana juice, awesome sunsets and surf....her i come...again !!!!

Great pics Lea.....my daughter is sold on the Tiger photo !!!

Yes the culture shock on my first trip took 2 days to settle in...then i got over myself and went with the flow. Learning to ignore the sarong sellers and the rest of the street sellers...learning to Barter.....just walking down for a surf in the evening as the sun set.....dodging all the little insence burning offerings that litter the streets....getting massages on the beach etc, etc, etc.....hard to believe a 3rd world type country can be so dam good but the people make it an amazing place. Sure does make you appreciate been bought up in a country like Australia though. I'm hanging out big time.....deposits paid today !!!!!

my hubby is a seasoned bali traveller(9 times) and he had warned me about 'the in your face seller and kid beggers' but I wasn't ready for them.. It took me a few days to get use to them as well. I had a few problems with some of the seller being very rude(sexual comments) to my then 17 year old daughter but I soon fixed that problem when I showed them my hand full of money as I was walking out of their shop, they become very apologetic then...lol. The most people are very friendly, caring and hard working people.
We arranged a tour guide for the day as well. There is no way on this earth was I going to be in charge of a car.....it was bad enough dodging bikes on the footpath let alone on the road.
I could fit in your suit case, im only little and I will look after the kids so you and your wife can relax.......can I come to pleeeaaassse

Ha,ha..people smuggling INTO Bali...thats somthing diffrent LOL.
This trip will be interesting because we are going with some friends who have 2 little kids aswell and none of them have been overseas. I cant wait to see the culture shock, the smell and the heat hit them like a tonne of bricks.

I've warned them again and again about certain things but they seem cool about it. It'll be fun if they just chill out and go with the flow....otherwise i'll leave them in the resort to do thier own thing. Either way i know i'm going to enjoy it again.
