Where does the soil go when a dog digs a hole in your yard. There is never enough to put back and compact down.

Thats why i bury a doggy dump or 2 in there aswell. Fills it up and the canine excavator gets a little surprise when he digs up my garden again !!!

I've got a new one in the middle of the lawn now...no reason why....maybe to get the ride on mower bogged, kinda like a doggy I.E.D....then when i'm stuck they'll ambush me !!

It must be that time of the year. I think there are really good smelling lawn grubs in my lawn and garden. I'm pretty sure there is enough dirt, but a fair bit of it gets finely sprayed everywhere, including all up and down my dog's legs and tummy. Hard to get all that back in the hole, and then she tracks it into the house.

It ends up in the same dimension as the socks that go missing in the wash

my horse used to dig holes - but he'd wallow in them too. Sort of a rolling sunbaking pit. Sandier the better.

My puppy digs holes and then sits there and eats the dirt she dug up.

I'm pretty sure my dog eats it, judging by the size of his "returns"

I swear my dog is dingo x roo (dingaroo?) - she's been digging holes under the native rosemary (westringia) and then making her bed under there and lying in it. Must be cold for sure, it's damp and shaded. And then like a good Scandinavian (part arctic wolf?)- after some time in the ice, she gets out onto the middle of the lawn and sunbakes...
