    Default So sad

Every afternoon at exactly the same time the dogs and I go for a walk to the park and every afternoon we pass the same girl and her two dogs at the end of our street. Yesterday was a nice hot day so I decided to drive the dogs to a different park a little bit earlier so they could have a swim in the creek there.

When I got home 2 hours later there was a lot of emergency vehicles at the end of our street and a car had gone through a house, it was awful but thankfully nobody was home at the time. My partner had been speaking to neighbours and apparently an out of control learner car hit a girl walking two dogs, killing one dog and then ran into the house. The girl wasn't hurt nor was the second dog, it did run away but was found. He didn't have any details on what type of dogs it was but I'm just hoping that it wasn't the girl we pass every day, still so sad regardless of who it was but it hits home a bit more when it's somebody that you know.

Couldn't help thinking how lucky we were that we didn't go for a walk yesterday because we could've been a victim of "wrong place, wrong time"

I haven't seen the girl I know the last few days so hopefully she's on holiday or something and it wasn't her, but regardless of who it was it's still so terrible.

You definitely have to treat everyday like your last!
