Angry What the Hell Would I Know

This morning DH gets up and says I am going to wash Jarrah. Not a great idea says me it is overcast and cold today and she won;t dry, yesterday would have been perfect, warm and sunny all day.

Nah she will be right says he, (cause I don;t know anything) so she IS NOT DRY, and now will spend the night inside in our bed and I don;t care what you say about it. I will not have her outside in the cold with her undercoat wet.

    men, who needs em

Im lucky kimba only has a short coat. not an issue for us. She gets washed quick towel dry and shes done.
With buddy I sit him on the washing machine and blow dry him, although he looks like hes being tortured! lol

My ex used to tie his dog to the washing line and hose hm down.. that was so cruel the poor thing was absolutely terrified.
I used to wash him with buckets of warm water and a brush, takes longer but he was always happy after.

Poor thing. Some pets love it the hair dryer (I had a cat who would run into the room and expose his belly so you could blow it), others hate it, our Ziggy barks her head off when I'm using it.
Hope hubby learned his lesson and Jarrah is warm and dry!

Try getting her used to the hairdryer...put her on a leash and take her to a certain spot where she's comfy and give her a treat. Bring out the dryer and let her smell it, rub it over her so she knows it's not going to hurt her...then turn it on..but don't blow it on her..just ket her get use to the noise.....sit down next to her and reassure her that it's all good, give her another treat while it's still on...then turn it off...let her smell it again ...then leave it till the arvo...and repeat. Do this twice a day untill she's use to the noise...Once she's settled to that...set it on low and start at her feet/legs and chest..again, with praise and treats. It might take a little while, but with her beautiful thinck coat...it's worth getting her used to being hairdry'd.

    Good luck
