in my registered breeding days we had a bitch that had some issues (we actually had the vet stay with us for a few days haha)
she held on for 4 days after the first dead born The rest of the puppies came out just fine and ended up having long happy lives.

sounds like she is doing ok. Best of Luck!

    I am over joyed..
Vet said once in a while there is a bad egg and it can happen.
Nothing to do with mum and nothing to do with other puppies.
I actually had to go to another vet as my vet doesn't have
ultra sound equipment on board. But this vet reassured me
that one week early was not a big deal.
On the other hand my vet whom I just love as they really care for your
animals, he said sorry but it doesn't look good.
The other vet says he did a c section on a Labrador at 5 weeks preg and
    they were fine...
Vet says he wouldn't be surprised if she did have them within the next couple
    of days.

Same as us ladies I guess, things can go wrong and we may never know
    why...

Will keep you guys updated and fingers crossed if she does have them soon
everything will go good for her...

    Hi Lucky Lady
I have heard of it happening before & all other puppies were fine.. All the best is she having a C Section or are you going to let her Whelp Naturally?

Thinking of you LL and your girl and hope everything turns out ok.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret

HI Lucky, sorry your girl is giving you a scare, again!

As a human, you can lose a twin at 20 weeks or whatever, and miscarry, with other twin going on to be delivered at full term 40 weeks. Im sure it would be same for dogs.

    Good luck.
    and of course, those pics.
    and perhaps.....
can i squeeze in a 3rd pup into my home? maybe....lol
