Just going through some posts here as it's my first day. This one struck a chord straight away. I still struggle with pet loss even decades afterwards. Maybe I'm weak as water but that's my make up. I guess grief is something we all have to cope with in our own way. Just wish I could get mine under control.

I lost Scrappy 4 months ago, and still bawl my eyes out on a regular basis.

No one but other dog people understand.

Family and friends sometimes just dont get how much our dogs mean to us : (

I cant imagine ever getting over his death. I feel like a part of me died with him, even though I fully believe in Rainbow Bridge.

Just go with your feelings and dont let anyone tell you need to stop grieving. It is different for every one.

Rob K I also cant seem to stop grieving, I dont think its weakness more like strength, the strength to honour your loved ones. Im a firm believer in Native American beliefs, honouring animals/nature etc

It's been 16 mths since I lost my beautiful GSD girl Tara to cancer, I don't think I will ever get over her death. Once in a lifetime comes a very special dog that we were meant to to have and Tara was mine.

i know what its like to loose 2 at once.
i still think about them to this day, more so recently.
takes alot of drugs to help forget for a time, but the memorys and feelings are pritty strong.
the anniversary comes up in a month, and i'm sure i'll fall to peices on that day.

all we can do is keep going, and hold onto the memorys of them and keep them safe within our hearts and hope they are somewhere better off than this world.
