Thread: Seriously?

    Default Seriously?

The infamous woman MN and P oun d Ro un ds have had us scratching our heads before but this latest post from her is....well....you decide.....

The word mutt is redundant. Every dog is a mutt - it's just a matter of how long those mixed genes has been inbred by humans that classify one dog as 'purebred' - the only purebred that ever existed in history is the one by nature a million years ago - they had 4 legs and fur to match their environment - they bred within themselves -everything since then has been a man made mutt - purebred is a marketing myth - the so called pure breeds of today where just certain bits of each real natural pure bred were mutted together based on phsyical appearance by man. The only difference between the new labradoodle mutts of today and the so called man man mutts of yesterday is the number of years they have been around.

yeaaaaahhhh no ... maybe before she spews forth such great wisdom she reads into how many breeds around the world are actually from natural selection due to their environment and not 'man made mutts'.

God I'm sick of living in this ignorant country

Well according to her we have found the source of all the dogs impounded.
It is Breeders - sorry - industry -......she insists it is an industry costing taxpayers millions and having to slaughter millions of pets.

I am seriously left a bit gob smacked faced with such fanaticism based on....well her own warped view of things .

why did the government regulate the cigarette companies, the POS, the facilities that host the user and the user? Ditto for driving licences - have you seen the regulation standard for safety to sell a car in Australia? Ditto for alcohol. Because no other industry is allowed to divorce itself entirely as the breeding community wishes to do, from the effects of it's products. Regulated, registered breeders includes puppy factories, as noted above I will not allow the usual divorce by the industry of us and them, you are all them. Breeding is an industry not an individual, nor one kennel associated body and not others, pure bred collies are abused and tortured just as easily as the matted mother in a moodle farm. As a body selling a product breeders are all accountable for the widespread practice, under resourcing and regulation of their industry. Pet stores selling pure breds for a thousand dollars are part of that industry, some breeders do use pet stores, others don't. When discussing the wholesale slaughter of pets funded by the Australian tax payer I refuse to let anyone divorce themselves from one model or another. Breeders are breeders and entitled to their own models regardless of your personal view on their practices. As an industry they are responsible and should be made responsible for the consumption of their product and it's expense to the community

She's off her tree. And the fact that she regards dogs as products shows in the way they try to guilt people into adopting dogs to save them from death row. No regard at all for the fact that impulsive and random adoptions put dogs at risks of being abandoned again or having a miserable life. It is ludicrous that someone like that would lecture anyone on morality!

I'm sick of people also badmouthing breeders of all dogs, and saying nothing more then rescue dogs. They don't understand dogs at all if they feel this is how things should be. Sorry but not all dogs and breeds are the same - believe it or not some people put a lot of effort into breeding to get a very niche, specific outcome. Take my working Malinois for example, there is no dog in any shelter in this country that can replace what I have, genetically and how they have been raised. So what, I shut up and put up to take a half arsed dog? Nope. Dodgy backyard idiots fill up the pounds, people like my friends and I sure as hell dont.
