What a good dog, he just waits patiently till his friend is finished with his distraction.

Thanks Sean, we could use some smiles around here after the last couple of days!
All we need is a "rehoming because the dog barks at night" post to round off the week.

Watching this again, I noticed how the dog is alert and watching for any threat to his little mate.
Keeps an eye on the boy, but also keeps checking in every direction.
    What a great guardian dog.

I like how he gently puts down the lead and then when he picks it up again they both just stroll off to find the next adventure........no hamming it up for the camera. Looks like they couldnt care less about the big human filming them.

The video info says it's a 12 year old Shar pei and the little tackers name is Arthur.

Oh that was so beautiful, I'm smiling and all choked up at the same time. Love them both, how gentle the little boy is when he stops and puts the lead down then when he picks up the lead and wanders off again, and how patient the dog is, waiting and keeping an eye on his little friend.

    Thanks Sean, I needed that

Thanks Sean. Sometimes it's nice to watch something that just makes you smile and it's funny how it can be the simplest things. A boy and his dog. Does it get any better than that? Just lovely!
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
