    Default Interesting Lecture

Hi everybody, as some of you may have picked up, I'm a uni student (equine science) and for one of my elective subjects this year I picked "The Behaviour and Management of Animals in Society".

It's very interesting and I'm quite enjoying the study. I'm doing some last minute cramming at the moment (the exam is tomorrow) and I'm halfway through reading a lecture titled "Human-animal bond, euthanasia and greif" and to my surprise it has me sitting here in tears (I never thought a lecture would do that!). It's all about the stages of greif, the benefits of euthanasia, compassion-fatigue etc.

There are also some very interesting lectures on the different types of learning and aggression in dogs, and it's all in very simple, easy to understand terms! I'm not sure if I can upload a powerpoint presentation but if anybody can give me an idea on how to share these presentations I would be more than happy to!

I'm seriously loving this! There is a whole lecture now on the importance of socialsation and how important it is for correct training and for puppies to stay with their litter mates until they're 8 weeks old! And also a whole part on how unfortunate and sad it is that most dogs are surrended once they get to the 12-26 week stage and that they're not doing anything wrong.. just being puppies. Wish I had actually gone to these classes now and not just read them online!

Thanks guys It is the last one for the year and hopefully the last one forever... although I did TERRIBLE at yesterday's exam and I needed to pass it to pass the course so I'm not getting too excited!

Hopefully this one today goes well, it's actually enjoyable and interesting to study (plus a lot of it is common sense) so I'm sure it will be fine! It's definitely a nice change from all the statistics, chemistry and physiology I've been studying (If I have to memorise another hormone and it's functions my head will explode!)

I'd still like to find a way of getting these lectures online for every one to view them, they would be great for somebody wanting a new dog or somebody thinking it's ok to breed theirs!

If it's not too huge you might be able to attach it.

Personally I hate powerpoint format. They kill my computer because they're so big and clunky.

Would it save as MP4 format or something more efficient? Then you could put it on youtube and set it to only people with the link can see it- but you might have copy right issues with your educational institution.

Personally I think I'd avoid something that would make me feel sad. I don't like movies with sad ending either.
