    im very gaurded

especially as your dog must be absolutely free of all critters before starting. As imagine your dog is squeeky clean, you take it out/let it out, a flea jumps on. How does it kill it, if it cant kill what is there allready?

Who wants 95% protection against paralysis ticks?

    that means 5% ticks attach.

Even they don't claim it works. Their "scientific" study sample sizes are too small to be valid, and I can't tell where they've done a double blind study with a placebo control group (ie handed out inactive disks to owners by someone who doesn't know which are inactive and which are "active").

There are a few australian based websites - and some of the owners of those have come here and spammed away but given the dodgy nature of the product - I can't allow them to stay up - not to mention, I tend to ban people who only join to plug their product (aka spamming).

But I would not risk my dog's life with something that allows 5% ticks - in a paralysis tick area. And can't see the point when disk or no disk is the same outcome.

Does anyone remember those dodgy power wrist bands - they were good for the placebo effect, but when put in a double blind study - where people didn't know if they had an "active" one or not - the results were the same for the "active" as the "inactive" ones.
