Thread: I am disgusted!

  1. #1

    Default I am disgusted!

Firstly i need to issue a big warning, the following post and link is the worst thing i've ever seen and i've seen a lot of horrible stuff, it will probably give me nightmares. So if you read on or watch the link you have been warned.

China is apparently exporting dogs skins for use in fur coats and the like. The most horrible footage in the link below shows them swinging a dog with force into the ground before skinning it while its still alive ... the only thing that gives me any hope that this isn't normal practise is that it comes from PETA who like to take one off's and make it look like its normal practice. I'm still feeling sick after watching this ... do not take my warning lightly if you decide to watch.

I know a year or so ago Myer was found to have coates with dog hair as part of the "fur". I am not going to watch cause it will just make me cry. The Chinese don't really seem to have that high a value on human life, so I can imagine an animal is pretty low on their list :/

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

There is similar footage of a dog being skinned alive. They are apparently a kind of wild dogs that are native to China. But not only those dogs are being slaughtered for their skin and fur. It's also strays and stolen dogs as well as cats that are being caught up.

As disgusting as the footage is, it should do the job as a 'cheap leather repellant'. After seeing this I never bought cheap leather producst made in China anymore.

Edit: Re the chinese being a sick bunch...Hmm. Australians are very happy to look the other way if the prize is right. Someone buys and imports these products and what's currently happening with these sheep in Pakistan is just as disgusting. Ban live export I say.

It's a very old video, at least 10 years old. We don't know if this is still happening, although it probably is. The Chinese aren't known for their stellar human rights record, there's no reason to believe they'd have any interest in stopping such horrific cruelty to animals.
