    Angry Rant

Ok so most of you know that I had a litter of pups with me that were all sold bar one who we keeped anyway 2 of the pups went to a friend of ours and b4 they left I made them fully aware of the cost involved in raising 2 pups and up untill 2 days b4 they need there 2nd vac which I had been cheeking they would have the money for for 2 weeks prier as we where going to get all 3 done at once to save some money they were good to go just that night they said it's fine we have a big pay week ok so the next day I get a text saying you need to come pick up one of the pups as we dont want her anymore and if you don't she's going to the pond so I go get her and explain to them that I might have a really good home for her but how much did they want for her they said free to good home I go ok I keep her till we find her the right home this is the pup in the for sale section but we will get to that so I take her home and the next day a contact the person who also wanted her when she was sold to my friend that person says they can't take her in now as they already got another pup :-)

ok so the next day I get a text saying I want the money we paid for her buy the end of the week like she's a DAME GIFT EXCHANGE

I say I dont have the money It went to the person she bought it off I was just the middle man and I put her back up for sale for the price she paid for her
so I do that and give her to the old owner to sell as they know more people who would be interested in her so the old onwer paid for her second vac and put her back up for sale for and add that cost to the price of her sale

so I get a text this morning from my friend says she found a owner for her I explain her price went up due to the extra vac cost and she says she will pay that when I drop her off (hit head into wall) as THE WHOLE REASON THEY GAVE ME FOR NOT WANTING HER WAS THEY COULD NOT AFFORD THE VAC OMG OMG GRRRR Rant over sorry if it's abit all over the shop but I'm not good at typing when I'm this mad

I just want to head butt some people...they care only about the moola, and not about the pup's welfare...good on you for speaking up on behalf of the pups though!

Do not give the puppy back. Do not give them any money. Indecision and lack of responsibility are not good qualities in a dog owner. They either want the dog or they don't want it, and by getting rid of it they have shown that they don't want it. Cut your losses and do not contact them again.

some people sees Puppies cute and cuddly, then they want one. Hence we have too many dogs in the pound, right?

Some people should not own dogs.

Personally - I would take her to the RSPCA or AWL.

A young puppy under 3 months old - as cute as the one you've got - is quite easy for them to find a good home. And they would sort out rotten people who aren't serious about owning a dog. That's what their adoption fee is about for starters.

And if you return a puppy that's older... it's not worth the same as when you took it - so these people are not entitled to any money unless the puppy was sick or dying of something it was born with.

Any more trouble with them - I suggest you call the police. But it would be good if all agreements were in writing. Eg
    1. you are just puppy sitting - money goes to someone else (though if you're looking after puppies you should get some money for that - the going rate for dog boarding is about $25 to $35 per day including food).

    2. you don't give any puppy to any prospective owner without receiving money first. You might offer a 2 week return for refund period but after that, no refund - you will still take the dog back and find a good home for it but they get no money (or a pro rata amount that you put in the agreement). You write a receipt for the new owners, and keep a copy including their contact details.

    3. puppies should be microchipped (in your name or the other owners name) so if they get taken to the pound - you get notified ie you only allow transfer of ownership - when the new owners pay.

There's probably more that petrescue or rspca could help you with as far as a sale contract and what it should look like goes. But there is no way in hell I'd let your "friend" have the puppy back after what they've done.
