Default My dogs replaced by doplegangers?

I have been trying to 'mix things up a little' with my dogs. Rather than the same routine daily. As Bernie is a creature of habit and will drive me from 5.30am till we leave the house for his morning session.

So today, i thought id try something ive been planning for a while. A bike ride, with 2 dogs off leash following me.

They behaved like 2 completely different dogs! They were tearing around all over fields, chasing each other. My dogs never chase each other! Then they both jumped off a 12 foot bank into the water together? No ball to chase, just sheer exuberance stuff. I left them in lake, and rested as i was very puffed out. They got out after longer time than usual, then started rough n tumble fighting, wrestling, chasing again etc. They have never done this play fighting outside before.

Seriously, ive added a bike to my sillouette, 2 completely new characters emerge. It was as if, me on a bike is not 'me' to them, and not having a handler, they let loose. IN much the same way as when we go camping, and OH wears a hat, they bark at him like they dont know him.

    Dogs are weird sometimes.
Do you'rs jump into some other character you dont know? and when does this occur?

At least they didn't get themselves into trouble. I remember the first times I tried to take Banjo for walks with the bike and she decided she could pretty much completely ignore me. No recall whatsoever and running way further from me than usual. I remember how annoyed I was because I much prefer riding to walking. But now it's under control and I usually ride (just got a new bike!).

Oskar just barks at inanimate objects, silly dog lol...my kids got home from their weekend with their father and he was barking at their overnight bag, like it was a foe...so I moved it, and he kept barking at it, and ran at it and would bite it...run away from it....strange dog!!

Mine can recognize me instantly in brightly colored wigs and strange costumes, but the other day I came in wearing just an ordinary woolen jacket I bought in town and they freaked out.
