Default How Often Do You Walk Your Dogs?

I take jarrah to the dog park around the corner every morning. There are a couple of older gents and ladies who also have there dogs there every morning. jarrah is on the big dog side with another dog, and there are 4 little dogs on the other side. The chase each other up and down the fence line and chase balls. It is so much fun for her and she runs herself ragged. I know she has had enough when I take out the car keys and she goes and waits buy the gate for me.

I try and do this every morning as the running does her the world of good and is great exercise for her.

How about you, how often do you take your dog for a walk or a play?

That sounds like so much fun! Jarrah's a lucky girl.

We don't have a off-leash park nearby... but at least we have a big backyard, so we have a daily play and the girls chase each other everyday.
I still try and walk them when I get time but it varies. Sometimes they go without a walk for weeks...but they get playtime and exercise in the yard, they also go out alot with us eg. friends houses. Lola is still a pup so I make sure she's not over doing it too.

Mt boy has a morning run every day, well, maybe some weekends i have off, never off leash unless we go to the beach, and walk the 5 k's to where there are no other dogs in sight. I also like stirring him up in the yard, he gets the zoomies going, and might do 4 or 5 laps of the house, and ends up buggered.

Usually daily. The length and duration of the walk depends on weather, what else is happening and the age of the dog. The 16 year old Pug likes to go for a leisurely stroll while the Sheltie and Whippet appreciate much longer walks.

Outside of stinger season we take them to the beach and we often take them to my niece's 250 acre mango farm. The only livestock there are horses so the dogs can gallop to their hearts content.

A pair of dogs can exercise themselves a lot of the time but I think they all love a change of scenery. The little old Pug's tail nearly spins itself off when I get out her lead.

I only walk my dogs on the weekend...and not every weekend. I know this is far from ideal but it is a time issue unfortunately.

I walk them 3-4 times a day. Short walk before work, then depending on season if it's hot, we just go out for a quick wee, then later long one and in winter we take very long one after work. And of course short one before going to bed. My dogs are in-house, we let them out in the yard to spend as much time as they want there when we come home from work, but they won't do any wee or poo there.

I would LOVE to take Jarrah to the beach as she loves the water, unfortuneatley off lead is a no no as she would run and run and run and not come back.

Lady goes for a walk everyday, Roly goes every second day.
His old little legs are starting to get slow and he gets a bit stiff.
We dont have any parks around but if I have time, I'll take a 15 minute walk to where my horse lives to feed him, the dogs run around the massive property free leash(not Lady recently) then the 15 minute walk home. It usually a hour-hour 1/2 job.
If I dont have time, I'll drive up, and the dogs run around while im feeding/cleaning poo. When I drive its usually 30 to 50 minutes. But they get exercise everyday. Except today actually!

First thing in the morning we go for a 1 hour walk/run as my partner and I both work full time and it would not be fair to leave Ziggy with full energy all day. Lunch time one of us tries to get home for a short walk around the block (we only work ~5 min from home) and in the evening we go for another 1-2 hour walk. We haven't really be doing the evening walk as it is dark now when we get home but instead we play or practice tricks and stuff
